Giving back to community vital
FOR more than 100 years
CCI has insured Catholic
organisations throughout
Australia and, as a Catholic
insurer, we do things a bit
differently.
Each year we give back via
a range of community events
and initiatives across all arch-
dioceses and dioceses.
One of these events is World
Youth Day, which offers
young people the opportunity
to experience an encounter
with the pope, the univer-
sality of the Church and an
enrichment of their faith.
CCI is proud to be one of
the joint sponsors of the Pil-
grim Support Program, which
provides financial support to
young people who otherwise
might not have the opportu-
nity to attend WWYD.
Through this program,
bishops and youth minis-
try leaders across Australia
nominate young parishioners
who they feel would most
benefit from the personal
and spiritual development to
be gained by attending this
major international event.
World Youth Day takes
place every three years, with
the most recent event in 2016
hosted by Krakow.
Thanks to CCI, a dozen
young people from Daly
River, Northern Territory, to
Bunbury, Western Australia,
travelled to Poland. After
returning home, the young
pilgrims shared their expe-
riences with others in their
communities – which is what
CCI is all about.
